Inter Miami and Argentina forward Lionel Messi has scored his 900th professional goal.
He scored the goal in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final against Nashville. Messi scored in the 7th minute, receiving a pass from Sergio Reguilon and firing into the far corner of the goal.
He became the second player in history to reach this milestone. Only Cristiano Ronaldo had previously achieved this milestone.
Messi did it faster, in 1,142 matches. For comparison, Ronaldo needed 1,236 games. Messi scored the most goals for Barcelona – 672, another 115 for the Argentina national team, 81 for Inter Miami, and 32 for PSG.
