The ex-girlfriend of 61-year-old American actor Nicolas Cage, Christina Fulton, is suing him. The reason for this decision was not the relationship between the celebrities but their common son, Westen Coppola Cage.
In her statement of claim, Christina notes that last year, 34-year-old Westen inflicted life-threatening injuries on her as a result of a severe beating. She claims that the attack also caused her to suffer a concussion, injuries to her neck, teeth, and abdomen, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
According to his ex-girlfriend, the actor knew about his son’s mental disorders but did nothing to help him. In addition, Fulton also accuses Cage of buying Westen an apartment next door to her. He also accuses him of getting his son out of jail and drinking alcohol with him despite knowing that Westen had a drinking problem.
Instead, the actor’s representative called Christina Fulton’s lawsuit “frivolous” and noted that “Cage has no control over his son’s behavior and should not be held responsible for Westen’s attack on his mother.”
As a reminder, the couple has been in a relationship since 1988. After 3 years, Nicolas and Christina broke up, and in 2009, the woman sued the actor for a debt of $13 million.
