Shakira Held a Free Concert at Copacabana for 2 Million Spectators

Shakira performed a cost-free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. According to the city’s mayor, Eduardo Cavalleiro, the event, held at one of the world’s most famous coastlines, attracted approximately two million attendees.

This remarkable occasion was part of her global tour “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (“Women No Longer Cry”), based on the eponymous 2024 album. During the performance, the singer delivered her well-known hits, including “Hips Don’t Lie,” “La Tortura,” and “La Bicicleta,” concluding the program with “BZRP Music Sessions #53/66”, a song created after her personal breakup with Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué.

The Colombian artist intends to culminate this global tour with a performance in Spain at a specially erected temporary venue, already informally referred to as “Shakira’s Stadium.”
