Total red: Sharon Stone attends a charity event in New York

The day before, the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection charity event dedicated to the fight against cardiovascular disease occurred in New York.

Sharon Stone was among the celebrity guests. During the event, the 66-year-old actress told how she survived a stroke and brain hemorrhage in 2001, which almost cost her her life. At that time, Stone had to quit her profession and radically change her life.

“I left the hospital dragging my right leg, unable to write my name, and 18% of my body weight was gone. I had a cerebral hemorrhage for nine days. Many people thought I was going to die,” the actress said.

It took her about seven years to recover.

“I couldn’t read for several years. My first real step toward recovery took about seven years, and that’s a very long time in Hollywood. People don’t care about you anymore. It’s like returning to your old job after seven years,” Stone said.

Sharon Stone chose a stylish monochrome look for her public appearance. She appeared in a sparkling red Nicolas Jebran jumpsuit. The actress complemented her spectacular outfit with gold Roberto Cavalli sandals and a matching THEMOIRè bag. Round earrings served as jewelry.
