A groundbreaking accomplishment occurred in London, where the world record for the longest tiramisu was officially set at 440.6 meters. This innovative dessert creation was achieved by a dedicated team of 100 Italian chefs over two days, surpassing the prior record of 273.5 meters set by the company Galbani in Milan.
According to Guinness World Records guidelines, the tiramisu was prepared and assembled entirely on-site, requiring around 150,000 savoiardi biscuits and 20,000 eggs. The event organizer, Mirco Ricci, noted that hosting the attempt in the United Kingdom served as a gesture of appreciation to the country. The dessert was adorned with a golden crown symbolizing dedication to the King and the royal family.

Chef Carmelo Carnevali specified that, for the record to be officially recognized, the tiramisu must meet minimum dimensions of 8 centimeters in height and 15 centimeters in width. He further emphasized that factors such as the quality of the coffee, the texture of the cream, and dedication to the preparation process were pivotal to achieving the desired standard of excellence.
