World's longest game enters Guinness World Records: game lasts 43 years

The Guinness World Records has recognized the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons as the longest game in the world, which lasts 43 years. The award went to Robert Wardhaugh, a professor of history.

The corresponding certificate confirming the record was presented to Wardhaugh, who began playing the game in 1982, according to the Guinness World Records website.

Robert estimated that he has about 30,000 hand-painted miniature figures, which allows him to create scenes with a wide variety of creatures.

Despite the record, Wardhaugh plans to continue his campaign for as long as he can.
